Daniel Yerazhisht (Musician)


Conductor, musicologist, professor of Yerevan Conservatory after Komitas, Grigor Danielyan (Daniel Yerazhisht) recalls his very first spiritual feelings. He was six when he started attending musical school. Years later he discovered that the entire alphabet of vocal sounds – do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, were the first syllables of prayer. “It turns out that all my life I am unwillingly extending prayers so that God cleans my lips of sins and gives me voice to whole-heartedly glorify the Creator”, says Daniel Yerazhisht.

Holy week: sacrament in the heart


For us as Christians, Holy week is a period of reporting and reconciliation. The heroes of the movie “Holy Week: Sacrament in Heart”, Mariam and Narine are artists. They tell about their meditations over the period of Lent, in particular about those things they need to manage for the seven days of the Holy week. Father Nikoghos Hovhannisyan generalizes the sacrament of Holy week in the life of a Christian, and exhorts to live these days in the spirit of humbleness and tolerance.

“The Wild Rose in Ararat Valley”

Mijink (Median Day of the Great Lent): The Great Lent is its half-way


On March 26, the clergy of Araratian and church-loving youth union members gathered in the celebration hall of the primacy to jointly celebrate the mid-way in the spiritual road of the Lent.

Visit of the youth of St. Zoravor Church in Yerevan to Mari Izmirlian Orphanage


Every first Saturday of each month, the youth and the clergy of St. Zoravor Church in Yerevan visit the residents of special institutions, which need social assistance and human interactions. This time they were expected at Mari Izmirlian Orphanage in Arabkir. The youth were joined by the Vicar General of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese.

Mother See will transfer around 50 mln AMD raised by the youth of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese at a charity dinner to the families of soldiers deceased on the borders of our homeland. The assistance will be also delivered to the families having 2 or 3 soldiers serving in the Armed Forces.

“Havatamq” in Yerevan School after Nikoghayos Tigranyan


The group of “Havatamq” spiritual center was long waited in Tigranyan School for children with vision impairment. The pupils heard about the young people visiting different institutions under the motto “Towards God, towards the Love”. They expected that on these pre-festive days they would also shelter the symbolic khachkar and the little lamp lighted from the Lantern of the Illuminator.

“Havatamq” (Credo) in Balahovit Military Unit


Another initiative of “Havatamq” spiritual center was launched from St. Grigor Lusavorich Church of Yerevan. Under the motto “Towards God, towards the love”, the initiating group lighted the lantern from the bigger Lamp of the Illuminator and headed towards the military unit of Balahovit, where around 600 Armenian young men were waiting for the guests.
